Picture perfect panoramic views! This park covers 481 acres and offers a wide variety of wildlife, mountain streams, and scenic overlooks. It is located on a 16-mile stretch of a mountain named for Daniel Cresap, one of the first settlers in Allegany County. The primary feature of the park is a public swimming pool with a waterslide. The pool is heated and offers an accessible ramp for visitors with disabilities. A modern bathhouse and snack bar serves the area during the summer. Picnic tables are located throughout the park, and include accessible tables. Three pavilions are available for family and group picnics. |

ALCOHOL POLICY: The consumption or possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage will be prohibited in all state park areas with the exception of interior areas of full-service cabins and motorhomes. Alcohol permits will only be issued through a reservation for a designated shelter, or other approved facility. A $35 fee will be charged for each alcohol permit and must be obtained 1-day out prior to arrival . Permits may be revoked for cause by Park Manager, their designee or a Natural Resources Police Officer. Internet shelter reservations requiring an alcohol permit will need to contact the Call Center at 1-888-432-2267, Mon-Fri, 8 am - 8 pm to make your reservation.
